Amazing!!How I wish I was able to take my own photo of it. I wanted to take a vacation somewhere on the north for one reason [whisper] I dreaming to take an actual photo of the famous curtain, Aurora Borealis. Haha

I've only ever managed to see it once, on a flight over yellowknife... never mind doing a PhD in trying to observe the same process but from extrasolar planets. I'd love to spend some time in Northern Canada with a a view of the aurora.

Now is a good time, with the Sun being quite so active.

Yes, a disadvantage for aurorae!  There were some great solar outbursts when we were away on holiday but not during the time we were near the most southerly point.  It would have been nice to have seen the Aurora Australis.   :D
