The Laughter Zone / Marry me?

He was a widower and she a widow.

They had met for a number of years being high school classmates and having attended class reunions in the past without fail.

This 50th anniversary of their class, they had a wonderful evening, their spirits high. The widower throwing admiring glances across the table. The widow smiling coyly back at him.

Finally, he plucked up the courage to ask her, "Will you marry me?"

After about six seconds of careful consideration, she answered, "Yes..., yes I will!"

The evening ended on a happy note for the widower. But the next morning he was troubled.

Did she say “Yes” or did she say “No?”

He couldn't remember. Try as he would, he just could not recall. He went over the conversation of the previous evening, but his mind was blank.

He remembered asking the question but for the life of him, he could not recall her response. With fear and trepidation, he picked up the phone and called her.

First, he explained that he couldn't remember as well as he used to. Then he reviewed the past evening.

As he gained a little more courage he then inquired of her. "When I asked if you would marry me, did you say “Yes” or did you say “No?”

"Why you silly man, I said ‘Yes. Yes, I will.’ And I meant it with all my heart."

The widower was delighted. He felt his heart skip a beat.

Then she continued, "And I am so glad you called because I couldn't remember who asked me!”   <:|

The Laughter Zone / Tomato Garden

An elderly man living alone in Leeds wanted to plant his annual tomato garden, but it was very difficult work, since the ground was hard. His only son, Paul, who used to help him, was in Wakefield Prison. The old man wrote a letter to his son and described his predicament:
Dear Paul,
I am feeling pretty sad, because it looks like I won’t be able to plant my tomato garden this year. I’m just getting too old to be digging up a garden plot. I know if you were here my troubles would be over.. I know you would be happy to dig the plot for me, like in the old days.
Love, Dad
A few days later he received a letter from his son.
Dear Dad,
Don’t dig up that garden. That’s where the bodies are buried.
Love,
Paul.
At 4 a.m. the next morning, CID officers and local police arrived and dug up the entire area without finding any bodies. They apologized to the old man and left. That same day the old man received another letter from his son.
Dear Dad,
Go ahead and plant the tomatoes now. That’s the best I could do under the circumstances.   :thumb:

The Laughter Zone / Truck Driver.
« Last post by Den on July 06, 2025, 21:07 »
One day, a truck driver pulled over at a diner to have some lunch. He ordered a cheeseburger, a cup of coffee, and a slice of apple pie.

Just as he was about to dig in, three big, hairy bikers came in.

The first biker snatched the trucker’s cheeseburger and took a huge bite out of it.

The second biker grabbed the trucker’s coffee and gulped it down in one go.

The third biker devoured the trucker’s apple pie.

The truck driver didn’t say a word or do anything while this happened.

When they were done, he simply paid the waitress and walked out.

The first biker said to the waitress, “He ain’t much of a man, is he?”

“He’s not much of a driver, either,” the waitress replied. “He’s just backed his 18-wheeler over three motorbikes.”   <:|
