anyone played "F.E.A.R. Extraction Point" ? nice looking game but my pc struggles to
play it at 1024x768 :( , it must be time for an upgrade :)

Michael has F.E.A.R. but not this one.
Games are becoming more demanding, that's why I'm upgrading Michaels.

nothing new to that MB, they always have and always will....

I used to play games on the Atari then we got the Sega, but when he moved on to the Nintendo, that was me done.
Now I just pay for them.

I bought Extraction Point for Michael a couple of weeks ago, and he has only now been able to play it. I bought the original F.E.A.R from a seller in Thailand on eBay, not knowing that asian version is different from the US/UK versions. Michael needed a patch for it before he could install the extension, took ages but a friend found it and downloaded it. Now I know why the Asian versions are so cheap.
Anyway he turned the graphics to max and he loves it.

You also need the patch for US/UK versions also, Fear has to be updated to version 1.06 before you can install "Extraction Point" i think it was about 200 MB download! on
dial up that is a real pain. :(
-
But if you purchased "Extraction Point", it has the patch on it, unfortunately it didn't help us.
I don't think I could cope with dial-up.

I hired "extraction point" it did not have the patch on it, i had to download it. :(

I didn't know you could hire pc games, I've never looked, but you'd think they would come with the patch....Ahh, OK I see, the patch is so you can install it, of course they wouldn't supply the patch.
I have no idea how pc games work, can you just play them off the cd or do you have to install them on your pc first? ???

Most games you have to install them on your pc first then insert the cd/dvd , but
there are ways around it so you don't have to insert the cd/dvd everytime you want
to play the game ;)
