NASA's stated goal of returning humans to the moon by 2020, which received a tentative boost in February with an affirmation in President Barack Obama's budget request for fiscal year 2010, is reportedly now in danger.

That's the saddest story I've read for a long while. Let's hope the Iranians and North Koreans don't get there first!

I know this will seem an ignorant comment, but even if they do get to the moon, what's the point? :dunno:

... it will also drive the economy like the last expedition to the moon did.

I read that they wanted to grow brussels sprouts (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/northamerica/usa/5159689/US-scientists-to-grow-brussels-sprouts-on-Moon.html) on the moon.

The Chinese will probably get there well before that anyway, soon be selling us PC's made on the Moon ;D
