I see... I'm not a particular fan anymore now that Linux works perfectly fine with wireless networks. Though my G4 has been a sturdy servant.

I have to admit, I love the look of Macs, but I'm not convinced that justifies the price.

it really doesnt. They are lower spec...

I like the look and I liked the fact that it was basically Unix - but now I dont have the need for that... and I wanted a small machine (and Apple was really the only one that was affordable) there are so so many other, cheaper/better, choices now.

Oh well, its only 6pm here - probably should eat some tea... well that or go to sleep, this darn flu is making me so bloomin tired, I've spent most of the day asleep waking up occasionally to check on the net...

Is it swine flu Sam?  I think it only affects youngsters so we geriatrics are safe!   ;)

Give it time and don't rush it, Sam, these things take a toll on the body, even for youngsters like you.

yeah, I probably will stay at home tomorrow.. might try and get some work done if I'm feeling up to in but at the moment, argh I'm so drained.... don't want to miss out on going to Arecibo if I get the chance either, so another day in bed at least sounds like the best plan.

lol.... I won't find out till Friday if I'm going... but I just booked flights back to the UK for Xmas (£700 return to Brum was quite pleased) - something tells me my credit card is going to take a beating this week (academics tend not to have a "company" credit card)!
