Mozilla today released Firefox 6, the second edition since it shifted to a rapid-ship cycle that delivers a new version of the browser every six weeks.

I know, I really don't like this new numbering system. Google again. >:(
-
People have just got used to 5. ::)
-
Or not, as the case may be. ;D
-
-
what I dont like about it is that it upgrades without asking even if you check manually. It should ask first surely
what if you are happy with an earlier version.
-
It's called tough love, Baz.
-
Chrome does exactly the same Baz. :D
-
SeaMonkey doesn't. It updates seamlessly, and appears just as it was before. :)
-
Why does SeaMonkey still exist, I wonder?
-
Mrs Clive tried it for an hour.
-
It still exists because it's a good browser suite and people are still developing it. I don't know why people don't like it. It's Firefox without the bloat. :)
-
I'm just curious why Mozilla haven't chosen to put everything into Firefox and Thunderbird?
-
They have. SeaMonkey is being developed by a separate group, but I think they are still under the Mozilla umbrella.
-
That explains it. :)
