« on: April 13, 2004, 16:06 »
i just put the 64 mb geforce2mx400 in my dads pc.. he tried doin it himself as you probably guessed yesterday with dougs (dad) posting in..

well whenever i play halo i seem to get alot of lag whenever i get close to a teammate or enemy?

but not when im no where near any1..

also sometimes the game just stops when playing online and i have to restart... direct x is working and has been tested, broadband has been tested and the graphics card has been tested so im starting to get worried?

 :'(

any suggestions? thanx in advance PoD (jonah)

It's possible that the game has outpaced the graphics card in terms of specification, Jonah.  These days, a lot of games require a 128Mb card, which I found out when playing the Harry Potter games, even though they don't say so on the box. Also, a friend had problems with Colin McRae Rally 3, before upgrading to a 128Mb card.  Perhaps the game manufacturers don't want to put people off buying them in the first place, in the hope that they won't notice graphic intensive parts of the game suddenly running in slow motion?   What does it say are the minimum requirements for the game?

Obviously I'm only guessing in your case, but do, however, speak from having similar issues, which were cured by a graphics card upgrade.

Sorry, Jonah, it was an attempt at a joke at my own expense, but it could have been interpreted either way, depending how you read it.  Don't worry, I wasn't referring to your posts.  I was just saying that it's what people say that's important, rather than how many posts they have made.   :)
