game problem
princeofdarkness:
i just put the 64 mb geforce2mx400 in my dads pc.. he tried doin it himself as you probably guessed yesterday with dougs (dad) posting in..
well whenever i play halo i seem to get alot of lag whenever i get close to a teammate or enemy?
but not when im no where near any1..
also sometimes the game just stops when playing online and i have to restart... direct x is working and has been tested, broadband has been tested and the graphics card has been tested so im starting to get worried?
:'(
any suggestions? thanx in advance PoD (jonah)
Simon:
It's possible that the game has outpaced the graphics card in terms of specification, Jonah. These days, a lot of games require a 128Mb card, which I found out when playing the Harry Potter games, even though they don't say so on the box. Also, a friend had problems with Colin McRae Rally 3, before upgrading to a 128Mb card. Perhaps the game manufacturers don't want to put people off buying them in the first place, in the hope that they won't notice graphic intensive parts of the game suddenly running in slow motion? What does it say are the minimum requirements for the game?
Obviously I'm only guessing in your case, but do, however, speak from having similar issues, which were cured by a graphics card upgrade.

it is at my dads, personally i have 256mb but this is the 64mb graphics card that worked perfectly in my pc when i was playing halo.. the games min requirement is 32mb but also this processor is amd duron 900 but it is getting upgraded ;)
also on a totally unrelated topic i seem to remember a list telling you how many osts you needed to become senior member etc.. is there anyway i could find that now? thanx..
PoD (jonah) ;)
