GEFORCE 4

Corky:
I have got a GeForce 4 64mb card in my machine at the moment after upgrading from a Radeon.  I've started getting problems with it when i restart the machine.  When i restart, the computer bleeps letting me know that it cannot find the graphics card, but when i do a full power down and turn it back on, it find's it no problem.  I know i will get used to this in time, but at the moment it is very annoying because i have to keep the button held down for quite some time with my arm at full stretch.

Does anyone know a cure for it before it drives me insane? :D

Simon:
I know nothing, Corky, but - could it be something in BIOS that needs looking at, and is the thing fixed in 100% securely?  Other than that, perhaps reinstall the drivers?

bat69:
Corky, it sounds like there could be a need to update some drivers, the graphics card, poss the BIOS as Simon suggests and if you're usung a mobo with a VIA chipset, then you might need an updated driver from VIA/mobo manufacturer too. THis is a common problem

Corky:
It is an EpoX mobo with a VIA chipset, so that may need looking at, i'll let my brother sort that out tho, he gets bitchey when i fiddle with the machine.

As for the gfx drivers, they were the ones off the cd as far as i know, so i will download the updates soon..

Thanx Simon and Bat :)

Corky

Sandra:
I think the via ones are up to 4.21 now Corky, Barra got them but still didnt work and went back to 4.2 I think he said  :-*
