If you have ?Word 2003? version (for instance), and you like to send some ?Word? documents to a friend who has the version ?Word 97?, he/she may have some difficulties opening them correctly on his/her computer.
Here?s how you can proceed:
Open ?Word?, then ?Tools? menu and take ?Options?. There, you?ll find the ?Register? tab. Go to the last option on it, ?Default Format?, and:
1 - If your version is ?Word 2003?, check the option: ?Deactivate the functionalities introduced after ? (Precise the year therein). Click OK.
2 ? If your version is ?Word 2000?, Check the option ?Deactivate the functionalities not being part of Word 97?. Click OK.
