The "View Posts Since Last Visit" function isn't working for me  :( .  Either that or nobody has posted here in the last two days...

I'm having trouble with it too, Gill.  Try clearing your cache and cookies, then allow it to set a new cookie next time you log in.  It only works the first time you use the link, then it resets, so if there are lots of new posts, use your Back button to return to the screen, rather than refreshing.  If you want to catch up on the posts you may have missed, you can use the 'View posts from previous Day' feature.

Not working here either and as I had to take the "Forgotten Password" route to get in I had already cleared all my stored private data.

The board looks good though.

 :)

Well, I'm glad it's not just me!  Hopefully Sam will be able to sort it, when he gets up, but you know these students, they only get out of their pit when they're hungry!

i was up at 7, thank you!!! :-) been busy organising stuff for a public talk at uni.

umm it seems that this version of phpbb has a few problems - it took me ages to realise that the drop down search wasnt working.

interesting though as the view posts since last visit is working fine for me... argh!!

It's working for me when I click it.

But before clicking it, it doesn't tell the number of the new posts. (If that helps).

good news, at least it isnt only me who it is working for.

Reseting all cookies might be the way to go....I shall look into any other reason why it shouldnt be working.

oh and did it ever say how many?

It seems to be working better for me now, but you have to treat it very carefully.  It only seems to work properly when you first log in, and if you refresh or close the page before you've read them all, you've had it.  It does seem to help to allow the cookie to remain on your machine, so you can stay logged in even when you close and re-open your browser.  Not a very good system though.

Yes, that could be a key.  It's not remembering which posts are unread.

umm same here, odd that.

the only thing i can think of at the moment is the cookies since it works fine for me and a few others using firefox.

i will endeavor to find the problem, for now i would suggest you use the last day feature.
