Night to remember

Sunday 6th May on BBC 4 at 10pm.

The film A Night to Remember has to be one of the best films of all time, even if it was made in 1958 and is in black and white.

Its well worth watching again and again and again  :)

Lona:
1958 was the year I left school.  It was one of the best years ever.  Buddy Holly and the Crickets hit number one and so did Connie Francis singing "Who's Sorry Now".  It was also the year Elvis joined the army.  Frank Sinatra made a big comeback with his LP  " Come Fly With Me". 

I could go on and on about events in 1958. Girls got married in white wedding dresses and it meant something back then.

Teddy Boys were all the rage and big bands actually played live at Dance Halls.  There were no Discos in 1958.

Clint Eastwood was just making his name in Rawhide. 

I willed him on to become the legend he is today.  ;)

And before you say anything Sandra, he is not a wife beater.  He is still my favourite.
