Enhanced Quick Reply Box

Please note, we now have an enhanced Quick Reply box at the bottom of threads, which enables most of the features of the main reply / post box, but with easier access.

Just a quick one...
users will need to activate this in their own profile (I did anyway!)...
Click the Profile link at the top, then
change 'Use quick reply on topic display:' to 'show: on by default'.
Hope thats right - correct me if its not.

Thanks DJ, I hadn't realised there was an option not to show it. Did you used to see the old Quick Reply box, or did you just activate it because you saw this thread? I only ask, because I had assumed that 'Show: on by default' was the default option, and I hadn't realised members might have to activate it.

No didn't see the old box. Don't think I had changed that option manually before either.

Right, it seems that to everyone but Admins and Moderators, it's hidden by default. How bloody stupid! >:( I will endeavour to find a way to change this, but in the meantime, members who wish to use this feature will have to enable it under "Look and Layout Preferences" in your profiles.
Sorry about that, folks, and thanks DJ, for pointing this out.
