A young lad called Jerry Dorcey was his warm up act.  Would you have imagined he would eventually become more famous than our Marty?.

I've never heard of Jerry Dorcey.......... should I ?   oh ok I just looked up the name, but I know Marty wilde more...

And I was thinking the same Simon! ........ Its the Pessimist in me lol Not.

Camstop:
i remember he used to play at a pub i used to clear up in with my mate as his dad was the owner.

I was only 11 at the time so it was 30 years ago  :-X

I bet he's still a great night out

Gene Vincent had the right idea in adopting caps early! :)

EH has always amazed me. He's an adequate singer, but not - to my mind - star quality. Still, someone likes him...

Clive:
EH is a complete enigma Rik.  Apart from Release Me and Last Waltz I would be hard pressed to name another song by him.  I can't think of anything I've ever seen him in either.  He must have the most stupid name of any pop singer and yet he's a megastar.  What am I missing?

Rik:
His money?  ;D

He took his name from a classical composer, btw. Like you, I can think of few songs (you did miss Les byciclettes (sp?) of Belsize), but that's about it. I feel a bit the same way about Tom Jones, tbh.
