They obviously weren't there to read it! I've seen a rogue PHP process slow us down too, never to a halt, though. It's usually cleared in minutes.

yes, I've never seen PHP cause this sort of issue.

Once again, we have to apologise for another outage this evening, which now appears to have been remedied for the time being.  We are hoping to move servers soon, which should eradicate this issue once and for all.

can I suggest moving the one you are on to the bottom of a tall building...........from the top the quickest way possible

That's what should be happening, Baz.  What was even funnier was, the guy seemed to be blaming me for it, saying we should upgrade our package!!  Er, hello??  And we pay them for what, exactly??

Actually, I can't fault the guy tonight, but didn't catch his name.  At least he got us working again straight away, and was honest about the cause of the problems.  I just hope he's on all weekend!

Yet more apologies for last nights outage.  Again this was caused by Webfusion's old and creaky server which they seem unable to replace.  I think we must be in line for a refund!
