There's a wiki about The Sandbaggers and the programmes are also available online.

Although there were plans for a fourth series, only three were ever made because the scriptwriter, Ian Mackintosh, disappeared under mysterious circumstances flying a light aircraft over the Bering Straits.  Cue speculation and conspiracy theories :) .
