Kubrick 2001. The Space Odyssey Explained.

That is very very good MB.  2001 is a favourite of mine and the explanation is pretty much what I had always thought.  Although I accept Kubrick's genius, we must not forget the greater genius of Arthur C Clarke who wrote the book from which Kubrick worked his magic.
