An excellant site if your are looking for a book and can't remember the name or author.

http://www.abebooks.co.uk/docs/ReadingRoom/BookSleuth/

It's also good for out of print books as well. I managed to find books last Christmas that I had been searching everywhere for including amazon

Lona, (or anyone), have you found any book sites that offer decent discounts on new books?

You could try www.biblion.co.uk simon but don't know if books are discounted. They sell new and used books :)

Or try this one

www.hamiltonbook.com
I have bought books from them and got a very quick delivery even if they are in the states. :)

Thanks Lona.  I don't need anything at the moment, but I'll bookmark them.  In this area we have Sussex Stationers, who usually sell new hardbacks (rrp £16.99) for a tenner, and I've not found anywhere to beat that.  Unfortunately, they're not online, so I have to go out!!   :o :o 8) :( ;D

Lona, that booksite is amazing!  Many years ago I lent my favourite book to someone and he didn't return it.  It was hardly surprising really because he ended up in an American jail for quite a few years.   ;D  I've spent years looking for another copy and that site has one!!  It's called "Stories for Tomorrow" by William F Sloane and its an anthology of science fiction short stories.  I'm just about to buy it!  Thank you SO much!   ;D

Glad to help Clive. That site is very reliable. I got great bargains for christmas last year. Books that I could not find anywhere in the shops as they were long out of print. :)
