Dates Are In Season
« on: December 02, 2009, 19:32 »
At this time of year it is possible to buy 200g trays of dates very cheaply.  My local market is selling three for 1 but I should imagine they are even cheaper in ethnic food stores.  Three of these trays will make approximately two batches of lovely Apple & Date Chutney, although you have to remember to stone them first.  However, removing the stones from dates is very easy.
There is no opinion, however absurd, which men will not readily embrace as soon as they can be brought to the conviction that it is readily adopted.

That reminds me.  I just bought two cartons of dates from Tesco.  I must try some!   ;D

Sam doesn't need dates.  His students just throw themselves at his feet!  I've witnessed the spectacle for myself!   8-)
