Connect two iPods to one computer - HOW?!!
Simon:
This isn't for me directly, but two sets of friends have got multiple iPods for Christmas, and are struggling to connect the two iPods to one computer, so that each syncs separately with it's own library on the PC, and indeed, with iTunes. Can anyone provide an idiot proof guide on how to do this?
Rik:
Just connect them and sync, in my experience, Simon. I have three iPods syncing off this machine, it recognises each one and uses the appropriate play lists.
sam:
it could cause issues if they didn't set the names of the devices separately but that shouldn't be a problem. Are they using iTunes on windows?
Here is apple's guide to it: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1495

OK, Playlists may be the key. They are trying to sync with different Libraries.

Yes, iTunes on Windows, Sam, and they have different accounts, with differently named iPods. I've passed that link on, thanks.
Rik:
How have they created different libraries, Simon?
