I can see that I may have to have a go at this in the New Year.

It won't last, Clive, their website is in meltdown already.

I do recommend the centre cut fillet log, reduced from £51 to £39, it's the best beef you can buy. Recipe on request... Also, try their crumbles, they're not cheap but they are superb.

I can't order it at this moment Rik.  But there will be other offers I'm sure.

Oh yes you can. They'll deliver on a date of your choosing throughout January and probably into early February.

Very expensive.
There is no opinion, however absurd, which men will not readily embrace as soon as they can be brought to the conviction that it is readily adopted.

I did try them once, and thought the quality was very good.  The prices are expensive, and you couldnt afford to buy from them on a regular basis.

if you cant do something nice-do nothing!

They do have some good offers on occasionally.  I tend to buy the Butcher's Specials, which can be at quite big discounts.

The Chateaubriand, earlier this year, was a steal at £15.

It was, and I stole half a dozen!  ;D  Have to admit, I'm not overly excited by the winter sale.  There's lots on offer, but most of the discounts are quite small, so it doesn't really make stuff all that much more affordable.

The whole fillet logs are one of the best deals, and as we use them for dinner parties, that was good for us. The heart of rump roast is good too.

Yes, I've ordered a couple of hearts.  Not sure about the 'slow cooking' yet, though.

I think we just roast them as standard, but I'd have to check with the chef, who is just finishing off a vanilla and caramel bavarois for tonight. :)
