I shall wait until they come down in price but I can see their advantages.  My Sony Cybershot, which has served me well I might add, takes an age to kick in after I press the button. 

sam:
my canon ixus point and click is bloody fast.. though over time its gotten slower, in particular building up charge for the flash... I'd like a better camera but I also dont like the idea of carrying lots of lens etc around with me.

Oddly, that's exactly what I do like, Sam. Primes are so much better than zooms, and only marginally less convenient.

I think I already have one of those - the Panasonic G1, don't I, Rik?   :blush:
