It's because you are using a version which they no longer support Jaminxz.  All you have to do is download the latest version which is AVG7.5 and normal service will be restored.  see http://www.pc-pals.com/smf/index.php?topic=20681.0

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Removes Antivirus:
http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes-Anti-Malware/3000-8022_4-10804572.html?hhTest=1.
Download, install, update and select Full Scan.
Remove all infections that it finds after scan.

Spybot S&D:
http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/index.html
Download, install, update and Immunize, then click 'Check for problems' then when complete select all and then 'Fix Checked'

Perfect Optimizer -- Registry Cleaner:
http://www.Easy-Registry-Clean.info
For maximum safety, Perfect Optimizer will make a backup of the repaired entries. You will be able to restore any changes made using the software by choosing Restore registry backup.

:welcome:

I think Spybot S&D is a little outdated now, and doesn't update frequently enough for my liking.  Malwarebytes appears to be a good product, and has been recommended by several forum members.  Never used Perfect Optimizer, but I am always wary of this type of program, as some registry cleaners can do more harm than good.

I had been using AVG 8.5 which I would have recommended to all. Forced to change to AVG 9.Internet and PC slowed down to crawl.
AVG 9 has a major problem, I  have deleated it and now use Avast.

I've heard better things about Avast than I have about AVG. :)
