Apple hack claimed by Anonymous
« on: July 04, 2011, 21:58 »
Apple is reportedly the latest hacking victim, and Anonymous has laid claim to the attack.

The hacking group released 26 logins and passwords which it claimed were for an Apple server, linking to it from Twitter. Apple has yet to confirm the hack.

Anonymous said the attack was part of the "antisecurity" campaign - called AntiSec - started by Lulz Security last month.

That group has since halted operations, but its followers and fellow hackers Anonymous appear to have taken up the AntiSec campaign.

"Apple could be target, too," the AnonymousIRC Twitter feed said. "But don't worry, we are busy elsewhere."

That Twitter feed also released login details and credit card numbers from Dutch dating site Pepper, as well as Australian election data.

I just wish they'd actually tell the company how they got in then at least ot has a prowess point. They could do so much good. What for a does releasing passwords lead too? Yes they have the power... But as they way with power comes responsibility.

Might be wise. Shame I just release the passwords of the CEOs of McDonalds... interestingly they were all the same - "itsdogmeat4eva"  :dunno:
