Free Adobe Software
Rodders:
I've just noticed the System Requirements state Win2000 or XP. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea after all.
Simon:
It does seem as though Adobe left the back door open by mistake, as it appears that the downloads were only supposed to have been made available to existing license holders. However, it further appears that Adobe know about this, and haven't been bothered to do anything about it:

Rodders:
Since running Acrobat Pro 8 in win7Homex32 was a complete pile of old lady's wee-wee, I've decided to resort to Plan B and remove the 120GB SSD from my Win7Ultx64 laptop and put the 500GB WD Scorpio Black back in.
Once that's done I can run these in XP emulation mode (with 8GB RAM). Then, if it still doesn't work, I'll just have to resort to some jolly harsh language.
I'll be back...
Probably.
