I didnt upgrade i was in on the testing and did a fresh download
Im not going to upgrade my windows 7 for about 6 months by then all the bugs will show and be worked out

According to posters on the testers forum it saved all settings and programs
I do know it is backward compatible back to xp pro
I have programs running from when I bought them for xp pro

i didnt trust it enough to upgrade my windows 7 laptop yet
i didnt want to have to reinstall 7 and add my backup
So I put it on a 1gb proc and 1gb ram laptop I have and it works fine
It seems to be faster than previous windows versions on it

I installed it on my new Asus laptop and it retained all my settings. So far the two desktops have not been flagged up as ready so as the song goes "Maybe tomorrow"  :D

i got the notice on my windows 7 laptop
But my desktops both run Linux

The one thing I noticed and liked windows 10 has settings and other small things that are very similar to Linux it also seems more secure than previous versions

I wasn't prompted to upgrade on my Windows 8.1 laptop tonight, so I guess it wasn't my turn.

When I checked for updates it states that Windows 10 Pro upgrade failed with error 80240020. This is on both of my desktops.  :dunno: Some say that it just means that it is not ready to download yet.
