Amazon Fire TV

(1/3) > >>

Den:
Has anyone purchased one of these Amazon Fire TV units. Amazon have reduced them and my daughter gave me a Amazon voucher for 30 as part of me Christmas present so now the time to consider it.

Any comments would be nice.   :D

Simon:
I have one.  It works fine, and you can get stuff like BBC iPlayer and YouTube free, but most other things are on a subscription.  You don't get Netflix free.

Clive:
I thought there was a lot of free stuff on Fire TV?  Or am I confusing it with Amazon Prime?   :dunno:

Den:
I'm registered for Amazon Prime so I would get the movies and music for free.  :D

Well, you have to pay for Amazon Prime, then it's free.   ;D

As I said, you get BBC iPlayer, YouTube and a couple of other catchup apps for free, but most of the good stuff you have to pay for.  I believe they are shortly introducing ITV Player, and Channel 4, which it doesn't currently have.
