;D  Well, it's stopped downloading those infernal updates so that's very pleasing.  It claims to be Android 7 if that is meaningful.  But.....tonight I've managed to send a text!  It's so much better than my £25 Tesco phone because it guesses what I want to write.  :o  This is impressive.  Also - wait for this ....I've done a video call with my youngest grandson.   ;D  The other one is old enough to realise his granddad is a total idiot and not worth bothering with.   Thanks for the blocking tip - I shall try that next time.

Again not sure if joking (regarding the text)  :P most phones have been doing predictive text for ages now...it's the first thing I switch off as it's more hindrance than help. What did you use for the video call ? was it "hangouts".

I confuse myself half the time  :P I did have a Nokia android phone a few years ago that didn't seem to do anything particularly well. It's what sent me over to Apple for a few frustrating years. I guess all Android OS's aren't equal.
