Cadwell Park
« on: August 22, 2018, 10:53 »
Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire has 'Track Days' when people can test their bikes (and their own skills) on the circuit.  There's no charge for spectators on these days so I went along yesterday with my camera.

Seems like an exciting day out Gill.  I remember as a young teenager watching local scrambling events on a mountain called the Ton which is a Saxon word for enclosed village or farmstead.  The motorbikes seemed to be airborne much of the time after hitting a ditch or tree root.  I should imagine the health and safety brigade would put a stop to that these days!

I once took a fantastic photo of Barry Sheene riding almost horizontally around a bend at Brands Hatch.  I must dig out my old photo albums one day.

If I ever find a moto-cross or scrambling event near me, I'll be there!  It must be quite a spectacle in its own right and great for photographers.
