Clive:
I've just been chatting to a friend who has an iPhone and he tells me to get a Samsung.

...and so back to the start of the thread ;D
My last two have been Samsungs, and suit my needs perfectly.
Simon:
I've had a Samsung S10 Plus for some time now, and I've been relatively happy with it, although it has to be said that Google are very slow at sorting out bugs within the operating system. What doesn't help is that Android has to work on many different branded handsets, some of which also have their own OS overlays.
One thing to bear in mind is that Apple will update their handsets for up to five years, whereas Android will only update them for three years. That said, if you are buying an iPhone 11, that will already be two years old, so you will still only get another three years of updates.
Clive:
This has legs of its own and Mrs Clive has had an e-mail from our neighbour showing that his phone is actually an iPhone 12 pro max which my son totally approves and is already looking up deals.
Simon:
There's very little difference between the 11 and the 12, both come in optional Pro versions.
