Notepad and Wordpad
« on: December 01, 2002, 20:50 »
Can anyone tell me what the difference is between Notepad and Wordpad in Accessories?  They both seem very similar to me.

Notepad is a simple text editor Clive, whereas WordPad is more of a simple wordprocessor which can format text with fonts, justification, tab stops etc.

Thanks Adept.  I'm getting split lines again despite using Notepad.  On my old computer, Notepad seemed slightly different.  Perhaps the default font has changed.

Have you tried turning off 'Word wrap' Clive?

Word Wrap was already off.  I'll have to try playing about with it until I get it right again.  I should have taken note of the settings I used on my old machine, but it's gone now.
