Hi Benjamin and welcome abord,
Well, I've never used it but in brosing in internet I found this:
Q: Does the Pen Drive have a write protection feature?
A: Yes, the Pen Drive has a write protection switch on the side of the Pen Drive. When the switch is opened, the data can be read and written from/to the Pen Drive, when it is closed, the data can only be read but cannot be written to the Pen Drive.

hope it'll be helpful, but I'll continue searching till one of the techies show.
