Title: Dates Are In Season
Post by: GillE on December 02, 2009, 19:32
At this time of year it is possible to buy 200g trays of dates very cheaply.  My local market is selling three for £1 but I should imagine they are even cheaper in ethnic food stores.  Three of these trays will make approximately two batches of lovely Apple & Date Chutney, although you have to remember to stone them first.  However, removing the stones from dates is very easy.

That reminds me.  I just bought two cartons of dates from Tesco.  I must try some!   ;D

Sam doesn't need dates.  His students just throw themselves at his feet!  I've witnessed the spectacle for myself!   8-)
