A common question lately is "Should I give up on my tomatoes?" Many novice as well as veteran tomato growers are seeing less-than-stellar performance with their crops this year.

I only really like those little cherry tomatoes that you can just snack on.

Pull the leaves off the plants - the tomatoes will soon turn red.

I used to do the same when I had a greenhouse many years ago. The tomatoes would still be turning red in December! But the Eastern European plant varieties are interesting and may be worth an experiment.

Tomatoes have been a waste of time this year. My greenhouse ones not bad, with dozens of green ones, but not all that many red pickers. I also had a lot dropping off still green. Outside ones useless, with some sort of virus making the fruit brown and blistered.
Makes me wonder if the effort of all that watering and feeding is worth it!!

Careful, they'll end up taking over your greenhouse. ;D
