Firefox 17.0 is out. The new version fixes an officially-listed 2365 bugs and covers six critical advisories. It also drops support for OS X Leopard and earlier.

ive thought about Chrome a few times and tried it again last week, still couldnt get used to it, BUT tuesday this week a I did a full scan with Malwarebytes and it found a trojan... chromeupdate.crx

Hmmm dont know if its just me but the latest FF seems a tad quicker :dunno:

just noticed too that one of my Add ons is not compatible with v17.
Tab Mix Plus doesnt work.

I don't think Mercurochrome is anything at all to do with Chrome. It's actually a variant of Trojan:JS/Medfos.B

The source of the infection is Java which must be deleted after which the real name of the virus will show up on your scan. What it does is redirect your browser searches.
