Beith was without electricity from 8pm to 6am so missed out in bringing in the New Year.

Only thing to hear the bells was my son's mobile phone tuned into radio one.  :cry:

Yes, I heard there was almost a state of emergency declared, when several people couldn't find their corkscrews in the dark!  ;D
