OK guys, have installed firefox and so far it seems fine. I can't see a lot of difference from it to Mozilla as I never used the email feature anyway. The only thing I can't find is the plugin for viewing in IE6 when you have to. It might be my imagination but I think it's faster.  :D

I have been using it all night and find it much faster than Mozilla, but you must bear in mind it doesn't have the email facility.  :D

Right Firefox is faster than Mozilla.  Tried Mozilla yesterday, and took it out again. I found it slow and didnt like the E-Mail client. I prefer Firefox because as I say its faster and you are able to customize it easier. I also use Outlook 2003 for E-Mail. These two make a great combination-not forgetting Mail Washer to preview mail!

      ;D ;D

Can you set Firefox to use your default e-mail client, for clicking 'mailto:' links?  I just wondered how it worked, not having it's own e-mail facility.

I suppose I could try it, and still have Mozilla Mail as my e-mail client.  :-\  As I said before, the only thing I don't like about Outlook is the control it takes away from you regarding attachments.

Don't know that one, Simon. You're the expert on plugins etc.  :). I don't know how you have problems with attachments in Outlook. It's Outlook Express I use and I never have a problem with attachments. All I can tell you is that if I am on Firefox and use contact it automatically brings up outlook express for me.  :D. I have uninstalled Mozilla as I need all the space I can get on Hard Drive. :)

I have tried it a number of times in previous versions.  All the new version really is, is a name change.  My personal preference is still the Mozilla Suite.  I downloaded Firefox a while ago, but never got round to using it fully.  I may give it another shot, but I would still have to keep Mozilla for my e-mails, which would somewhat defeat the object of using Firefox.

Why worry? If you are happy with Mozilla stay with it. I think all programmes are looked upon in different ways, and some people like some and others dont. I like Outlook 2003 because it is simple to operate and I can use Mail Washer to preview all mail at the server end, cutting down virus risk.

Why worry?

Because I nagged Lona into getting Mozilla, when she thought she didn't want it - now she's after revenge!   ;D ;D
