The Laughter Zone / Cup final.
« Last post by Den on April 12, 2025, 18:42 »
A friend of mine has 2 tickets for FA Cup final.

Both are Box seats.

He paid £2500 each but he didn’t realize last year when he bought them, it was going to be on the same day as his wedding.

If you’re interested, he’s looking for someone to take his place.

It’s at the Church of the good Shepard, at 3pm.

The bride’s name is Mary, she’s 5’5”, about 120lbs, very cute, and a good cook too. She’ll be the one in the white dress.  :)x

Paraprosdokians are figures of speech in which the latter part of a sentence or phrase is surprising or unexpected and is frequently humorous. (Winston Churchill loved them).

1. Where there's a will, I want to be in it.

2. The last thing I want to do is hurt you ... but it's still on my list.

3. Since light travels faster than sound, some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

4. If I agreed with you, we'd both be wrong.

5. We never really grow up -- we only learn how to act in public.

6. War does not determine who is right, only who is left.

7. Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.

8. To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism. To steal from many is research.

9. I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.

10. In filling out an application, where it says, "In case of an emergency,   notify..." I answered, "a doctor."

11. Women will never be equal to men until they can walk down the street with a bald head and a beer gut, and still think they are sexy.

12. You do not need a parachute to skydive. You only need a parachute to skydive twice.

13. I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure.

14. To be sure of hitting the target, shoot first and call whatever you hit the target.

15. Going to church doesn't make you a Christian, any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.

16. You're never too old to learn something stupid.

17. I'm supposed to respect my elders, but it's getting harder and harder for me to find one now.

18.  Passenger to flight attendant " Do planes crash often ??  Answer:  NO, only once !!

I saw him on stage several years ago at the theatre next door.  Remnants of the Troggs and other groups were there too.

The Buzz / Joe Molland, Badfinger Guitarist dies.
« Last post by Clive on March 31, 2025, 09:48 »
Joey Molland, guitarist for the group Badfinger, who had continued leading a touring edition of the group decades after other key members had passed on, died Saturday night at age 77.

Badfinger was best known for the late ’60s/early ’70s hits “No Matter What You Do,” “Day After Day,” “Come and Get It” and “Baby Blue.” Molland did not sing lead on the original recordings of those classic songs, but ably took on that duty in concerts for decades to come, touring the band’s catalog and his own solo material on up through the summer of 2024, becoming a cult figure among fans of that era’s music for his good will and enthusiasm in keeping the Badfinger flag flying.
