Title: MP3 players (not iPod)
Post by: Simon on February 21, 2010, 21:30
My cousin was asking about MP3 players today, but wants a straightforward 'drag and drop' Sony Walkman, not an iPod.  She was asking if she could get a speaker / docking station for MP3 players, other than iPods, and I told her they must be available, and to just look on Amazon.  Well, I have just looked on Amazon, and 99% of them seem to be for iPods only.  Does anyone know of a speaker / docking station for a Sony Walkman MP3 player?

lots of the ipod specific ones also have connections for regular mp3 players via a minijack. My one at home is like that. Its actually an alarm clock with an ipod dock plus this. Tesco is bound to sell something. Mine came from Asda I think.

e.g. http://www.amazon.com/Sony-Boombox-Player-Radio-White/dp/B000VW2W94/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&s=mp3&qid=1266788600&sr=1-14

the description also includes: "Audio-in jack lets you easily connect other digital music players to the boombox"

though I guess it wouldnt charge up the dock too.

Oh there is this one: http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&productId=8198552921665243947
