Does anyone know the name of the cable that can connect a laptop to a TV set? It has a "D" connector on the one side and three plugs (red, white and yellow) at the other end. I seem to have mislaid mine.

D plug to composite ?? (I'm not sure about the laptop side of things) :dunno:
-
Thanks Dave. Is the D plug called VGA? :dunno:
-
Yes it could be Clive, i get a bit confused with those old DIN type connectors but i don't think it's one of them.
Yes i think the laptop connector will be VGA out and the red/yellow/white is composite video in.
i think this is what you need

Clive on second thoughts the reviews are awful, i'd buy a different one !!

That definitely seems the one Dave. But I'll go for the 1.8 metre version. 8-) I'm far too cynical to believe in reviews.

Ordered. 8-)

i must admit I tend to believe the Amazon reviews more than most others. I've had a couple of very cheap cables off them in the past that haven't worked but i guess it's a bit of a lottery really.
At least if it doesn't work you haven't broken the bank

No, just the laptop and telly. :)

It's turned up and it does look a bit cheap and nasty. But I'm sure it will work. Gulp. :o

Have you checked your smoke detector recently? ;D
