Apple reveals the iPhone 5, revamping a line-up that accounted for more than half of its sales.

Can't honestly say I'm all that excited about it. :-\

Me neither! I've been thinking about a smartphone for the past year but I'm still quite happy with my Tesco phone which is quite simple. Trouble is I'd be afraid to take a smartphone abroad because they download so much data which you don't want but have to pay for. Even my son keeps his switched off when he goes abroad.
-
You can 'tame' them by turning off mobile data when abroad (or, anywhere), but I've heard that using the internet on one while 'roaming', will cost an arm and a leg. I remember Jeremy Vine coming back off holiday, and complaining that it had cost him £11 to watch a short clip on YouTube, while abroad.

My son always buys a local cheap pay as you go local phone when he goes abroad and gives it away before he gets on the plane home.
-
Not a bad idea, I guess.

:rumad: I'll stick with my nice Galaxy SIII (http://www.t3.com/features/iphone-5-vs-samsung-galaxy-s3), and Apple can once again stick their phone up their a*se.
-
Anyone in particular, Rod? ;D
-
Eh?
Having said that, I'm finding it screamfully difficult to make this thing recognise QR's. Any help would therefore be very much appreciated in that regard.
-
Within Apple? What browser are you using?
-
No, Samsung Galaxy SIII with Firefox. Actually, I'm wondering whether I need to download an app for scanning QR's, although my old Nokia E71 did it automatically and I assumed this phone would too. lesson in customer relations required I think.

This has all the feeling of Vista's release...

I'm sticking to the 4S.

Don't blame you.

Hello,
I have an iPhone 4S, really like it and I am looking forward for iPhone 5. In fact I am trying to develop an app for it. I am not a professional but I am really interested in computers, smartphones and technology. I came across a page that offers information about app development for iPhone and code snippets as well. The information on the page (if you are also interested in app development for iPhone: [link removed by Admin] proved to be really useful. I hope this information will be useful for those who also would like to develop an own app.
