can i get information on how i can learn php
and which of the two is simpler to implement asp.net or php
finally with dreamwaver mx how different is it from visual studio.NET in creating web pages
using php and asp.NET
-
ok php is simple in my opinion and you dont have to find a server that runs asp.
I'd suggest you use php.
here: http://www.freewebmasterhelp.com/tutorials/php/1, is a starting point and I suggest you look at php.net

hey sam i know you,with your FORTRAN informatuin,well am trying to find also if dreamweaver mx is good for both asp and php,well answer from a general mind,because you are a MICROSOFT HATER,so 4 now get me a general answer 4 this

I can't possibly believe that ANYONE would hate Microshaft! :shock:

Hey I'm not so much of a microsoft hater that I can't have a clear thought on their products. If I though that a microsoft product was good I would recomend it. In fact though I have a mac I still have microsoft word installed cause I think it is a superior product. Their end of line tools aren't bad just a rip of in terms of costings.
Anyway Dreamweaver MX - who needs that, just use some text editor that has syntax highlighting and then setup a development server on your local machine. You could install apache with php on a windows machine... or I'm not sure how but you could get IIS working and I think asp.
I have neer used asp apart from helping people, I have no idea about the benefits of using this commercial language. Php is great, there is a huge user community out there and it is rather simple and the best part it is FREE.
Oh and FORTRAN, FORTRAN ROCKS!!!!!!!!! :P
