Post by: Lona on November 05, 2002, 13:10
What is IP header compression and should it be left unticked in internet options.

Not sure what it is for Lona but mine is unticked and it seems to work fine that way. ;)
Make sure Log On To Network is unticked as it doesnt need it and takes longer to connect if it is ticked (unless of course you are networked to another PC or more ) :-*

Mine is unticked but was ticked before Freeserve called me to discuss my connections problems. He also told me to uninstall dialup networking and re-install and I must say it was working great last nite but seems back to cutting off to-day. I have gone through the procedures again and things seem ok at the moment. It seems when I reboot things go back to the way they were.I would hate to think that I need to re-install dial-up networking everytime I need to go on the net ;D
There are gremlins at work on this machine me thinks. Could it be number one Son screwing up my connections ;)
