Anybody else using AVG.. the update tonight took ages (13 mins) plus it took ages to connect :o
-
Same here Hook. I think they must be having server problems :(
-
I wonder if they have a virus :D
-
:lol:
If anyone else is having problems, the US website seems OK.
Download the updates manually from http://www.grisoft.com/us/us_updt6.php?lng=fe
and put them in the \programs files\Grisoft\AVG6\Updates folder :)
-
I updated last night without any problem.
Virus database 383.
Release date 01/03/04.
Approx size of download 75KB.

Yeah it is being a bit odd lately - I tried 2 or 3 times to pick one up yesterday or day before was it.
It had done it now though.

When you restart AVG you'll have three choices to download from instead of the default one.
Edit: Thought I would just add this :D

I'm a bit thick today Hookster ::) what exactly do you mean? I've closed the AVG Control Center and restarted it, but I still only get free.grisoft.com as the download choice :-\

Save your old file as url.old and create a new file in notepad with this:
[SERVER_NAME]
1=free.grisoft.cz
2=ftp.grisoft.com
3=www.grisoft.com
[SERVER_URL]
1=http://free.grisoft.cz/softw/60/fe
2=ftp.grisoft.com/pub/softw/60/fe/
3=http://www.grisoft.com/softw/60/fe/
Actual URL=3

Ah - I thought something was missing ::)
The file that needs to be changed is url.ini which is kept in the \programs files\grisoft\avg6\ folder
