Each time I go to disconnect from the Internet, Sygate is popping up with the box below. I have just done Ad Aware and Spybot scans, and have Spyware Blaster, and Trojan Hunter running. It seems that Windows Explorer is trying to tell something that I am signing off. Should I block or allow this? :-\
-
Its a bug in Norton I believe ;)
-
I'm not using Norton, Hook. It's Sygate. :)
Any ideas, anyone? It still keeps asking! :-\
-
Well Simon, if saying no does not effect any running systems, tick the "remember answer" say no, and get on with the rest of your life mate ;D ;)
-
Have you tried running Shields Up to see if port 80 is stealthed Simon?
-
Yes, Clive, all stealthed.

crl.verisign.com seems to be some kind of certificate repository.
I would guess that something on your PC is requesting verification of a digital certificate for some reason. Seems odd for it to happen through explorer.exe though.
I would block it until you find out whether it is useful, or something breaks ;)

Well, the information I found here (http://www.broadbandreports.com/forum/remark,10253157~mode=flat) suggests it's checking for updates to Digital Certificates, so, on balance, I've allowed it. If I block it, there's a 5-6 second lag each time I right click something in Windows Explorer, like the poster in that thread.

I block everything i'm not sure about simon, so personally i'd go with tonys suggestion. ;)
