'Picture the Past' aims to conserve and make publicly accessible the photographic heritage of the North East Midlands, thus enabling people to see the richness and diversity of the area's photographic collections.

Many images in the collection are irreplaceable - digitising protects the originals from wear and tear and enables users all over the world to view the collection via the Internet.

Very nice site Dave.  I love old photos and I've always felt it a shame that the camera hadn't been invented a thousand years earlier.
