What are you looking to spend, Fox? A good GeForce would cost about £80-£100, but a really good one might cost up to £300! Personally, I have never spent more than about £60 on a graphics card (GeForce FX5600 8X 128Mb), and it does all I want it to do, but them I'm not really a big gamer.

I might get away with £300. I have been told that a card with FX at the end will give loads of coloure etc, but I should be looking for a card with more RAM ie 256 as this will speed up the redraw process.
BTW my card is a GeForce 4MX 440 SE (nVidia 64Mb AGP) Graphics Card.

Theres a new type of card out now that I hadnt heard about until sunday this week called PCI Express.
From what I have read theyre better than AGP cards due to some new kind of new technology in how they work.
Ebuyer has a few for sale starting from around £85 plus vat.
I dont know if you need a certain FSB for them or if they work on any board as I only had a quick read about them.
If anyone knows anything about them can you fill us in with the details please :)

It looks like you need a special mobo with a PCI Express slot :(
It sounds promising though as it runs at up to 60 x normal PCI bus speed or about 4x the fasted AGP card at the moment and presumably will only get better and faster as its developed :)

If I try for a new Mobo as well ......she who must be obeyed will do nasty things to me........ :-X
