Forgive my ignorance, but surely if you already have Spyware Blaster, you shouldn't really need this? Also, can we be certain it doesn't affect the running of some programs? If it changes the Product ID of Windows, and other programs, how would you re-install them if you had to?
I may well have misunderstood this, in which case, I'll get me coat.... :-\

If you run "Shields Up" it tells you that your computer ID is **** and that is transmitted to all websites you visit. I'm presuming that this is the number which the software refers to.

Simon may be right regards reinstalling....if he actually means "restoring" using XP Restore. I tried a restore and it would not have it. I then put the ID's back to what they were before I enabled continious randomisation in ID Blaster. And it still failed to do a restore.
I then left the ID's in their original state, kept ID Blaster disabled, disabled /re enabled restore, then at a later time attempted a restore, it worked.
Now I may in the future test XP restore prior to enabling ID Blaster, and trying restore again. Then again, I'm getting bored with it, so i may not ::) ;D
I just looooooove having a saved image of my C;Drive .......it allows you to muck about with the OS and all the settings ....and if you cock up big style ....you just re-image C;Drive ;D

Yerbut yerbut yerbut....I did not need it in this instance. But just imagine if I had, and I was like you, relying totally on XP restore
