Here's another (free) firewall that might suit those of you who have experienced difficulties with those that are better known.  I haven't used it myself but I've heard good things about it from others who have.

I might give it a run on one of my spares tomorrow.  Howver, as I have Zone Alarm v.2 (circa 1999) running on three PCs here, and I haven't had to format c: on any of them yet, I won't be moving in a hurry.

"Better the devil you know" definitely applies to this most evil of software.
