hey all,

jus bought a new dvd rw drive...a  NEC ND-3520A...and i was wondering whether it will play dvd movies?

Don't see why not - try it and see!   :D   You might be limited to Region 2 DVDs, but there's ways round that by searching Google for something like 'DVD Region Free'.  ;)

You should have no problems in viewing DVD's providing you have somethind like WinDVD or similar installed on your system. Or have the correct codec for your media player.

You will be able to view any region for up to four times on most DVD players/recorders then you are stuck on the last region you viewed. Safest to view Region 2, our region that way no problems.

You will be able to view non-regionalised discs but, they will be copies and therefore illegal.

If you mean Region 0, then not all of these are illegal!  Many UK issued music DVDs are Region 0.   :wink:
